Jalal ad-Din
Gender: Male
Age: 84
Position: Chief Imam of Medinaat al' Salaam
Marital Status: Celibate
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 104 lbs
Eyes: Gold
Hair: None
A ruinously old man, Jalal ad-Din out of the robes of his office is easily dismissed. Hunched with age, almost frail in build, the ancient imam is hardly imposing to look upon. His bearing while performing his holy tasks, however, is nothing short of majestic, his rich bass voice ringing with the blessings or condemnations of Lady Shilah Herself.
Jalal is much beloved by all of the Jewel's people but by none so much as by the plain, simple people of the city and surrounding areas. Once a simple boy born to poor laborers himself, the imam has never once failed to remember what it is like to know the pinch of an empty belly or the chill of a desert night for the unclothed. If he has any flaws at all, it is that, in his dotage, he has begun to lose parts of his hearing and, along with it, a fair amount of his discretion. Thoughts and opinions that he might once have held back now ring forth, often at full performance volume.
Given his revered station and the fact that he is very nearly a living saint, no one has dared do more than wither under the offenses thus far.
